This term I’ve grown to not only a better coder/developer, but a better person. Aside from being an introvert, it is safe to say that I’ve grown close to an incredible amount of people this semester.

Sometimes we need a little reminder that whatever we do, we don’t do it alone. There are always others fighting for similar causes and because of different reasons. It was an absolute pleasure getting to share many experiences with such an amazing group of people. + an incredible learning opportunity (we all know I’m a big fan of learning lol)

2022 has been filled with many many accomplishments and bittersweet memories.

It’s been a year of self-discovering and growth. I’ve done many things I never imagined possible, I’ve travelled alone for the first time, got an internship, met people who have my heart and kept those who were dear to me in the past. I have said goodbye to many people I thought would stay for more seasons and I have learned to accept the fact of people leaving.

I learned to stand up for myself and be aware of my worth. I am ready to improve and I really hope 2023 is full of friends, but more important I hope I never lose sight of who I am, and who I want to be. (+ be with?)

Couldn’t be more grateful and sad at the same time!🥲
Attending @upefiu ‘s #shellhacks has (again) broaden my knowledge, experience, passion and excitement about the field I am pursuing. Even though people find it crazy to be more than 24h with no sleep…for us attendees it feel like 24/7 (or more) hours of pure excitement, adventure and solutions (+ lots of headaches, but we all love it though lol)🤎

Also, great shoutout to the best team! As someone said (Sheryl Sandburg to be more precise) “Motivation comes from working on things we care about. It also comes from working with people we care about.” Plus energy drinks, ofc!⚡️ { @coral_dq @leonkoech @solorunner_kris }

⚠️ coding newbies 101 (AKA: me)
-> Hackathons are made to learn and learn and learn
-> there’s never a better time to go than when you know nothing, because you will learn from the best and you have an open mind (that’s my experience)
-> Everyone has impostor syndrome, the thing is…are you going to ignore it forever or are you going to face it?
-> we all start from not knowing, what are you so afraid of, others judging? If so, people tend to offer help when they perceive you need it, we all know this is hard as hell when you start (& when you already have practice with it 😭🥲)
-> Just enjoy the experience, if you practice and expose yourself while enjoying you will naturally learn and enjoy studying it on your own ^_^
